Syros

If Cyclades had a Queen, Syros would be it. An island with a unique blend of contrasts, combining Orthodox and Catholic heritage, is the capital island of the Cycladic prefecture. Apart from the busy beaches, you can find beachside tavernas and coffee-shops and also quiet sandy beaches, remote bays and beautiful landscapes. The two hills above Ermoupoli, which is the biggest town, offers a vast and labyrinthous path trail to walk streets that were built centuries ago.
